About
What makes us unique?
We are not your average dog walkers. Tails N' Trails specializes in off-leash hikes, adventure daycare, group walks, recall and leash etiquette training, and customizable pet care. Unlike most pet service businesses, you are set up with the same regular caretaker for your pet(s). We pride ourselves on the importance of developing a relationship with you and your pet(s) in order to offer the very best care for them. So much so, that we require clients use our services for 2 months prior to being able to book in-home sitting or boarding with us. These particular services entail the regular walker staying overnight in the dog’s own home, or the dog staying overnight in the walker’s own home, rather than in a kennel or boarding facility.
Not only do we have specialized care and policies, but all of our walkers are also pet CPR/ first aid licensed and certified dog trainers. Simply put, Tails N' Trails is not your average dog walker!

Founder
My name is Carolina Oakley, and I have been working with animals, primarily dogs, for over 10 years. I have a 9-year-old rescue foxhound and a 2 1/2 year-old coonhound, who keep me very active. My love for dogs and exercise has made me extremely passionate about creating a professional pet services business.
I believe it is important to create a service that simplifies pet owners’ lives, as owning a pet can be a lot of work! Our goal at Tails N’ Trails is to make your pet happy, and your busy life a little less hectic.
I started Tails N’ Trails RI/MA in 2015. Since then we have grown to a team of 25 walkers between our three locations. In August 2022 we opened a second Tails N’ Trails in Milwaukee, WI, and in October 2023 we opened our third location in Worcester, MA. Follow our journey on Instagram (@tailsntrailspets) as we open more Tails N’ Trails locations!

Hi, my name is Mack, and I am from a small town in eastern CT. I have grown up around dogs my entire life, specifically Golden Retrievers and German Shepards, which seem to be my favorite breeds. Growing up as an only child, my best friend was my golden, Rex, who I spent every moment with. As a kid, I would often walk to the neighbor’s house to see their two goldens. I love working with all of the dogs and families of Tails N’ Trails. My favorite part of working at Tails N’ Trails is going on hikes and meeting all the new furry friends. Helping the animals grow and learn every day is such a rewarding experience.

I am excited to bring my knowledge & skills to the Tails N' Trails team and add cheerful moments into your pets day to day routine. Pets play such an important role in our lives and it means so much that I can treat your pets like my own. My personal pack consists of a kitten named Bebop and three frogs named Melon, Lemon and Kiwi. I look forward to meeting you and your pack!

Meet Chrissy: An outdoor enthusiast, dog lover, health care professional. She graduated from Worcester State majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry. She planned to spend the rest of her career based life in the pharmacy but fortunately, life gave her lemons and now she is with Tails N’ Trails! Spending over a decade as a pharmacy technician she expanded her knowledge of business, excelled in retail management and patient safety eventually becoming a team leader. Realizing there was little room left for growth within her field, in the spring of 2020 she adventured to the west coast to explore an outdoor position helping a friend manage a homestead mainly taking care of the dogs and chickens. Although it was an intimidating change of pace It was a great way for her to utilize her earned degree. Biology came full circle and expeditiously she put her plant and animal education to the test. Back to the east coast in October of 2020 there was no way she was able to sustain a jubilant life staying committed to the pharmacy. After much deliberation about her future, it was a no-brainer to join Tails N’ Trails! An opportunity to be outside was the winning ticket, and to hang with dogs was the cherry on top. Chrissy also has a sweet and goofy German Shepherd, Yianni. He can’t wait to meet your dog, to walk, play and hike as Chrissy promises to live up to TnT standard, treating your pet like her very own, extra spoiled and always happy!

Hi I’m Emmalee! I’ve been around dogs my entire life; in fact, I don’t think there ever has been a time when I wasn’t! After I graduated high school back in 2017, my dream was to work in the Veterinary field. I attended Milwaukee Career College and graduated as a Veterinary Assistant. I worked at a Veterinary Clinic for a couple of years, which was an amazing experience to be able to work with all different types animals. I created many bonds with furry friends I will never forget. This lead me to the decision to join Rover, which was one of my favorite experiences. I love creating relationships with animals, all sizes, and all breeds! I am so excited that I have this opportunity to join the Tails N’ Trails Team. And even more excited to be close to all of your furry friends!

My name is Selah and I am from a small town in Connecticut. I have always loved animals, but had a special interest in dogs and cats. Pictured above is Rocket, Golden retriever/Aussie mix, who was my soul dog and best friend for 14 years! He was the most loyal, energetic, smart and spunky dog that I've ever encountered, and showed me how amazing dogs (and all animals) can really be. As a pet owner, he taught me the importance of relationships with animals and how to be a patient, yet fun leader and companion - and I LOVED learning from him.
After recently moving to Massachusetts for grad school, I realized that this would be the first time I didn't have a pet in 15 years. Since I needed a job and primarily work with people, I thought it would be a great opportunity to find a job working with animals. I have always been a fan of Tails N' Trails' mission, so I am so happy to join the team! I can't wait to learn and grow with all of the TNT pets, and I'm committed to bringing my best while working with them. Fun fact: The tattoo on my arm is a rocketship, dedicated to Rocket!

Hi I’m Madeline. I grew up in Oxford, Massachusetts where I’ve raised my family dogs, Reba the Pyrenees mix, Kia the American Eskimo, Viggo the yorkie, Cash the yorkie, Finny the Maltese and now my own dog Koda the German shorthair pointer mix. Each dog had very different personalities and challenged me to learn many different methods of caring for dogs. When my boyfriend and I rescued Koda, she had many special needs which only inspired me to learn and grow as a dog owner/trainer. My passion for dogs only continued to grow where I decided to make it my career. I’ve worked in dog daycares, a canine rehab facility, a breeding center, and have also worked at a service dog training facility, which has lead me to Tails n Trails. My favorite part of working at tails n trails is working with all the different dogs and getting to know their unique personalities and helping them grow and expand their own skill sets, all while enjoying the beautiful New England landscape. If you have a special request you’d like me to work on with your dog, please let me know and I’ll be sure to accommodate every need!

After college, I got a cat named Finn, who is now besties with my family’s golden doodle! Since I can remember, I’ve loved spending time with animals and creating that special bond with them. I also enjoy the outdoors, and there’s nothing like having a furry friend to share nature’s beauty with! I am very excited to be part of Tails N’ Trails and join this awesome team. Can’t wait to take care of your beloved pets!

Hey! My name is Maddie. I grew up in the Milwaukee area with german shepherds and pitbulls as my best-friends until I was about 14. During my high school years, I had 2 shepherds and a lab who absolutely loved running and being outside. A little over a year ago I moved into the city and decided I wanted my own pup, so I rescued an Australian shepherd/Rottweiler mix who is my entire world! I also started to foster a black cat for a friend, whom I ended up falling in love with and keeping as my own :) I’ve loved working with animals the past few years and when I saw Tails N’ Trails was hiring I knew it fit me perfectly. I absolutely love going on trails outside or to the beach and the pups do too. I’m always excited to meet new furry friends and I’d love to help you by wearing out some of their crazy energy :)

Hello! My name is Jennifer. Growing up I had so much love to give to animals and nature! I couldn’t imagine a life with neither. I have a Cocker Spaniel named Chispa which translates to Sparks in English. She is now 10 years old! And I also have a tabby cat named Stormy. I am currently studying at Milwaukee Career College, in the Vet Assistant program! My goal is to one day become a Veterinarian. I realized that my passion for animals could become my profession at a really early stage in my life and since then I haven’t changed my mind. Working as a Dog Handler for a year at a doggy daycare facility has really taught me many things! To now working for TNT has truly been a thrill! And can’t wait to go on many more adventures with all the furry friends :)

Hey there! My name is Carley, I grew up in Madison WI and just recently moved to Milwaukee. I was raised with lots of American Bulldogs, so I’m a huge big breed lover!! I’ve worked professionally with dogs since I was 14; so 6 years now! At my previous job I ran the puppy training program. I have training experience professionally as well as my own dogs. I studied a lot about animal body language and negative vs positive reinforcement to know the dogs that I’m working with always get a training routine that is ethical, rewarding, and personally tailored to each dog that promotes amazing results. I tried to change careers at one point but everything always led me back working with animals, it’s truly my soul job I could never imagine doing anything different. I take pride in my work and wake up every morning excited to have another day with the dogs. When I’m in the care of your dogs they will always be stimulated, happy and healthy.

Hi, my name is David. My training career began as a child of two trainer parents. My mother trained Collies for show, and my father trained hounds. I developed a communication and understanding of dogs and animals in general, while caring for them as my daily chores. I aspired to be a trainer and went to school through Pet Care Services Association for pet CPR and basic pet care. After some years of Service Dog Training, I went for further education of Canine Obedience Trainer/Instructor. I have years of experience in day care, sitting, walking, hiking and especially training, both classes and in home.I am married to an amazing trainer, who specializes in puppy behavior. Each and every one of our pets are family, and I love helping you provide the best experience for your pet. Looking forward to sharing in your pets happiness.

Hi! My name is Sophie Tesla. I am from upstate New York and currently reside here in Rhode Island. As an only child my best friend growing up was my yellow lab, Miley. I was so lucky to spend 10 years with her silly self. In the past 5 years I have worked as a kennel assistant and volunteered at local animal shelters. Through this I realized that working with dogs was something I was born to do and something that I look forward to everyday! Dogs hold a special place in my heart, and I'm dedicated to their well-being. I'll bring that same level of care and dedication to any job involving our furry friends and can’t wait to meet yours!

My name is Olivia, and I grew up on the Connecticut/ Rhode Island border. From a really young age, I have been really drawn to all dogs. Big, small, tame or wild, I always wanted to be around them. Growing up, I’d go to all my neighbors house and ask them to walk their dogs, since I wasn’t allowed any of my own. When I turned 18, I moved to Nashville and spent 4 years there. While I was there, I was driving along the road and came across a tiny min pin stray, who to say the least, looked like she really needed my help. I rescued her which lead to adoption. She spent the beginning of my twenties with me, and at 26 I adopted her a brother. A german shepard, husky mix. My real life Balto. I started walking dogs in Providence in 2020, and started with Tails N Trails in 2023. I love that I am able to experience more of nature with this company, and am able to form such close bonds with my regular pups along with the humans that come with them. I’m so thankful that I get to do what I love every day.

Hello! My name is Eve and I live in Barrington. I am a lifelong lover of dogs and have had dogs in my life as long as I can remember. After learning about the plight of rescue dogs and the immense effort to bring massive amount of dogs up north, I decided to become a foster with Rhode Home Rescue. We fostered many puppies and helped find them loving homes. As happens to many dog fosters, my family fell in love with two big, goofy puppies and decided to have them join our family. From there I began boarding dogs in my home. We have a nice size property with a big fenced in yard and the dogs generally have the run of the house! In Barrington we also have a lovely long beach with is great for dog walks as well a nice park nearby and lovely neighborhood. As my kids are getting older, meeting and caring for new Doggy friends helps to keep my heart and home full.

Hello! My name is Danie. I rescued my dog Milky 10 years ago and she changed my life forever! She is a German Shepherd mix. With Milky being my first dog, I had to learn a lot of new things from the dog world! I fell in love with her and quickly learned how unique each dog is. It is how I found that my happy place is always next to a dog. Growing up my mom had a cat daycare at our home, so I've been surrounded by animals my whole life. I have been a dog walker since 2021. I find my job really rewarding and exciting. I give my best everyday and always want to give the dogs I care for beautiful experiences. I treat them all with love and respect, the same way I’d want my Milky to be treated.

Hi! My name is Adriane and I am from Ashburnham, MA. Dogs have always been a big part of my life - my family always had dogs of many breeds and sizes, and I now have two rescue dogs, Indy and Bonnie. I recently moved back to Central Massachusetts. Since the move, I have been volunteering at the Worcester Animal Rescue League, and I started with Tails N’ Trails in 2024. I know how important our dogs are to us, they’re truly members of our family, so I always give my very best to the dogs I care for. I treat them with the same love, kindness and consideration I would want someone else to show towards Indy and Bonnie.

My name is Laura and I live in downtown Milwaukee. My husband and I have three children, two of which are at home, one at Divine Savior Holy Angels and one at Marquette Highschool. We absolutely love pets in our family. I cannot ever think of a time in my life when I haven't had a pet in my home. As a child, I grew up around beagles where I would go on long walks at my grandfather's pasture with my family. I loved watching them pick up a scent and how excited it made them when they could be free to run. Today, my family and I have a pitbull named Max and a doberman named Sweetness (named after my husband's favorite - Walter Payton). I am excited to be a member of Tails and Trails and work with families and their beloved pets in the Milwaukee area. When I am not out walking my dogs, I love to swim, listen to podcasts, travel, and cook. I look forward to meeting your pet and learning about your family.

Hello, our names are Shayeli and Curtis, and we are a dog walking duo. We had been walking dogs together for over two years before joining the Tails N’ Trails team, and have experience caring for the many different kinds of pets we have had over the years. We love animals and walking on trails, and we are so blessed to be able to have a job that fits us so well. When we saw the position available we were so excited and we still are every time we get to pick up another pup.
