Board & Train

Why Tails N’ Trails
Board & Train?

Your pet doesn't need a trip to the kennel for training. Your pet needs to "train in a home" to "live in a home" with rules and manners. Tails N’ Trails gets better results than a facility board and train because your pets daily life is richer in a home setting. Whether you need the most basic training package or need a more intense training to combat reactivity, guarding, aggression or incessant barking. We are the home school for your pet. Throughout your pet’s board and train you will be kept updated on your pet’s daily growth. You’ll receive daily pictures and videos, weekly written reports, and a two hour drop-off lesson with David. Your board and train with Tails N’ Trails will provide you with the tools you need for strong communication and a healthy  relationship with your pet.

Which board & train is right for you and your dog?

  • Basic Training: 2 week minimum

Your new puppy or rescue dog hasn’t learned potty or crate training. They do not know commands such as:
sit, stay, down, off, wait, easy, free time, let’s go heel (stage one).

  • Advanced Training: 3 weeks minimum

Your dog is potty trained and knows some basic training but may struggle with some of the commands mentioned under basic training. They also may lack confidence in public settings (i.e exhibit leash reactivity), suffer from over excitement, do not have proper recall and or leash etiquette.

  • Rehabilitation Training: 4 weeks minimum

Your dog suffers from fear aggression and reactivity. Often times making it difficult for them to co-exist with the outside world. Your dog’s behavior is often times difficult to handle. You may have considered rehoming your dog. Don’t worry though, we can help!

Please note, dogs are accepted for training on a case by case basis. You and your dog must complete an evaluation with our trainer before we can confirm pricing and if they are fit for our program.
